Medical Care PowerPoint Pitch Deck

We were brought in to design the M&A roll-up pitch deck for EVI Holdings, an investment holding company consolidating the urgent care and emergent care space. EVI is on a mission to become a leading player by acquiring and aligning high-quality urgent care centers and independent freestanding emergency departments across the U.S.

The goal of the presentation? Get the right investors excited. Build trust. And explain—in plain English—how their roll-up strategy not only works, but wins.

Project Scope

This wasn’t just a set of pretty slides. EVI needed a working pitch deck. One that could live in meetings, raise capital, and win over future acquisition targets. It had to be sharp enough for investors but simple enough to use in conversations with operators and advisors in the healthcare space.

They already had a clear thesis. What they didn’t have was a visual story that tied it all together.

Our job? Turn their raw data, strategy, and market insight into a slide deck that could close deals.

Challenges We Solved

  1. Complex Strategy, Clear Story
EVI’s approach is layered: growth partnerships, non-control ownership, buy-side M&A services, and legacy alignment for founders. There’s a lot going on. We broke this down into a visual storyline that made sense the first time through. No rewinding. No second guesses.
  2. Data-Heavy Market Insights
The urgent care and outpatient industries come with volumes of market stats—CAGR, profit margins, revenue projections, reimbursement policies. We organized this data into digestible sections so the reader could absorb key takeaways without drowning in percentages.
  3. Two Audiences, One Deck
EVI needed to speak to investors and potential acquisition targets. That meant showing opportunity and empathy. Investors want scale and efficiency. Operators want to know their teams, values, and vision won’t be steamrolled. We wrote and designed with both in mind.

Slide Strategy: What We Built and Why

Slide 1–3: Setting the Stage

The first three slides had one job: clarify what EVI is doing, why now, and what makes this team worth listening to. We emphasized:

  • The fragmented state of urgent and emergent care in the U.S.
  • EVI’s approach to consolidation as a growth strategy, not just a buyout model.
  • The unique cross-disciplinary experience of the team—capital markets, healthcare ops, intelligence, and M&A.

We used bold headings, one-liner value props, and whitespace to keep early momentum.

Slide 4–6: Defining the Industries

Investors want to know what they’re getting into. We added dedicated slides defining:

  • Emergency and Outpatient Care
  • Urgent Care Centers

We didn’t just rely on words. We showed where revenue comes from, how demand is shifting, and what’s expected over the next 5 years.

Some standout stats we included:

  • Urgent care revenue projected to hit $51.3B by 2026
  • 5.9% CAGR for urgent care from 2021 to 2026
  • Cost comparison: urgent care visit ($150) vs ER visit ($1,300)

Everything was presented in a way that supported EVI’s value proposition—this market is growing, underserved, and ready to scale through smart acquisition.

Slide 7–9: SWOT + Market Dynamics

To help investors quickly understand the strengths and headwinds of the space, we built SWOT charts for both sectors:

  • Urgent Care SWOT: High barriers to entry, steady demand, insurer support—but concentrated services and customer base.
  • Emergency Outpatient SWOT: Steady revenue and low capital requirements—but threatened by regulatory changes and rising competition.

We used icon-driven layouts to make the charts easier to scan and added short callouts to guide interpretation. The goal was to answer, “Where are the risks? Where’s the upside?” without needing a narrator in the room.

Slide 10–12: The Roll-Up Advantage

These were the heart of the deck. Here's where we broke down EVI’s actual offer to business owners and investors:

Key Messages:

  • Owners can retain up to 40% equity
  • EVI takes a hands-off approach to day-to-day ops
  • They bring capital, infrastructure, and experience—not red tape
  • Operators preserve their brand, their team, and their legacy

We emphasized continuity and upside—not disruption. This was especially important for owners who built something from the ground up and aren’t looking to hand over the keys and walk away.

Slide 13–14: Growth Resources

We added a clean, visual layout to show what comes with being under the EVI umbrella:

  • Access to centralized sales and marketing support
  • Advisory and M&A services through Kennedy Capital and Meraglim Holdings
  • Tier 1 back-office support (HR, legal, accounting)
  • Network of industry veterans and specialists on the advisory board

We didn’t over-explain. We showed the toolkit.

Slide 15–16: Vision + Call to Action

To wrap, we revisited the pitch. We used one clean quote to summarize the mission:

"Preserve and enhance your legacy by partnering with us."

Then came a direct call to action—connect with EVI’s founder, Zoe Nielsen, and take the first step. No confusion about next steps, no dead ends.

Why This Deck Worked

EVI didn’t want something generic. They needed a real sales asset—something they could walk into investor meetings with and leave behind with confidence.

Here’s what made it work:

  • Focused Messaging
No buzzwords. No slides that needed “explaining.” Every piece served a purpose, from investor trust to operational clarity.
  • Sharp Visual Hierarchy
The slides guide the eye naturally. Titles are strong. Text is trimmed. Charts are used to explain, not impress.
  • Balance of Data + Narrative
We didn’t flood the deck with numbers, but we gave enough to support every claim. The story still drove the show.
  • Built for Flexibility
Whether in-person, emailed, or Zoom-shared, the deck holds up. Every slide tells a standalone part of the story while reinforcing the bigger picture.

Result

EVI was thrilled. They’ve used the deck across investor meetings, strategic calls, and prospecting conversations. It’s helped them position themselves as a serious player in a fragmented market—and speed up deal flow.

The best feedback?
They said, “This is exactly what we needed.”
